Dear Mrs Quintana, you dec 12 st evenly when piece mesures 3 cm: K 1 round over all sts and work K2 tog evenly on this round - see here how to dec evenly. Happy knitting!

Liebe Caren, es handelt sich tatsächlich um rechte Maschen. Die untere Reihe rollt sich nach oben, darum sieht sie aus wie linke Maschen. Und wenn Sie genau hinschauen, sehen Sie direkt nach dem Bündchen, vor der links gestrickten R, noch eine Reihe glatt rechts.

MOSS ST: Round 1:* K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*. Round 2: P over K and K over P. Repeat row 2. DECREASING TIP: Dec as follows before marker: K2 tog. Dec as follows after marker: Slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 88-92-96 (100-108) sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm [US 4] with Merino Extra Fine. K 1 round and continue in rib, K2/P2. When piece measures 3 cm [1⅛"] K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 8-12-6 (10-8) sts evenly = 80-80-90 (90-100) sts. Change to circular needle size 4 mm [US 6] and insert 5 markers in piece with 16-16-18 (18-20) sts between each marker. P 1 round, K 1 round and continue in moss st – SEE ABOVE. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 10-11-11 (12-12) cm [4"-4⅜"-4⅜" (4¾"-4¾")] dec 1 st on each side of all markers – SEE DECREASING TIP, and repeat the dec on every other round a total of 6-6-7 (7-8) times = 20 sts left on round. NOTE: change to double pointed needles when sts no longer fit circular needle. Piece now measures approx 14-15-16 (17-18) cm [5½"-6"-6¼" (6¾"-7")]. K2 tog all the way round, cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. |
