I wanted to create a knitting pattern for people who were new to learning socks. While learning socks I found the easiest method for the heel was heel flap and gusset which is the method I have used for this pattern. These are knit on double pointed needles but you are only using 4 so it is a little easier to manage. I named these after my husband as I made the pattern while keeping him in mind on how he likes a sock to fit him. He prefers a sock to come up on his ankle just enough that they are not ankle socks but not too high either. I hope you enjoy knitting these cozy socks! I would love to see your creations so if you feel inclined please share a picture of your socks over on Ravelry.
Happy knitting

Heel flap
• Working on only the needle with 20 stitches you will work 15 rows of stockinette stitch. Knit on right side Purl on wrong side.
• Now we will turn the heel. We will be working short rows so not every stitch will be worked before you turn your work. Trust the process.
