Danach immer nur A.3 (jeweils in Verbindung mit A.2) ?
15.09.2019 - 20:31DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Frau Schumann, ja genau A.1 wird nur einmal in der Höhe gestrickt, dann stricken Sie die ersten 11 Maschen wie im A.3 gezeigt (und A.2 dazu), und es wird dann wie im A.3 weitergestrickt.

Bon tricot!

INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. COLOR AND EDGE TIP (for head band): The head band is worked with 1 strand alternate from the outside and 1 strand from the inside of the ball to thin out the stripes (or you can divide the ball in 2). The change of strand is always from the same side; so that the strand change does not tighten the edge, work the outermost stitch in this side with both strands (= double strand). INCREASE TIP (for head band): Increase by making 1 yarn over, on the next row knit the yarn over twisted to prevent holes (= work in the back loop of the stitch). All increased stitches are continued in garter stitch. DECREASE TIP (for head band): Decrease by knitting 2 stitches together. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle. The whole shawl is worked in GARTER STITCH – see description above. Cast on 5 stitches with circular needle size 4,5 mm / US 7 and Fabel and knit 1 row from the wrong side. Then work according to the diagrams as follows, from the right side: Work A.1 over 3 stitches, insert a stitch-marker after A.1 which follows the piece upwards and work A.2 over 2 stitches. NOTE! It is important to use a stitch-marker in the piece to separate the diagrams. Increase and decrease in diagram A.1 and in diagram A.2 increase stitches which are bind off on the last row of the diagram. When the diagrams have been completed 1 time in height, you have increased 8 stitches in A.1 = 13 stitches on the row. Now continue as follows: Work A.3 over 11 stitches, remember to allow the stitch-marker to follow the piece upwards and work A.2 over 2 stitches. When the diagrams have been completed 1 time in height, you have increase 8 stitches in A.3 = 21 stitches on the row. Continue by increasing and decreasing in the same way in A.3, but there are now more stitches between the increases and the decreases. In other words, you work as follows: Work 3 stitches as shown at the beginning of A.3, work garter stitch as before until there are 2 stitches left before the stitch-marker and work the last 2 stitches as shown at the end of A.3 and work A.2 over the stitches after the stitch-marker. Continue to work in this way, A.3 increases with 8 stitches every time the diagram is worked in height. The new stitches in the middle of A.3 are worked in garter stitch. Continue to work in this way until there are 213 stitches on the row, stopping before the last row in diagram A.2 (on the 25th tip or work to desired length, but make sure that you have enough yarn to bind off with). Now bind off as follows to get an elastic edge: * bind off 2 stitches, 1 yarn over and bind off the yarn over loosely *, repeat from *-* to end of row, cut and fasten the strands. ---------------------------------------------------------- HEAD BAND: The piece is worked back and forth on the needle and is sewn together mid back to finish. Cast on 30-34-38 stitches with needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 and Fabel. Work as follows (from the right side): ROW 1: Work 2 stitches GARTER STITCH – see description above, * knit 2, purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 stitches and work 2 stitches garter stitch. Turn the piece. ROW 2: Work 2 stitches garter stitch, * purl 2 stitches and knit 2 stitches * repeat from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 stitches and work 2 stitches garter stitch. READ COLOR AND EDGE TIP. Turn the piece. ROW 3: Work 1 stitch garter stitch (with both strands), 1 stitch garter stitch, * knit 2, purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2 stitches and work 2 stitches garter stitch. Turn the piece. ROW 4: Work 2 stitches garter stitch, * purl 2 stitches, knit 2 stitches * repeat from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 stitches, 1 stitch garter stitch and 1 stitch garter stitch (with both strands). Turn the piece. Repeat ROWS 3-4 in this way until the piece measures 7-8-9 cm / 2¾"-3"-3½", now increase 1 stitch on the outside of the purl section in each side – SEE INCREASE TIP. Repeat the increase every 10th row a total of 6 times = 42-46-50 stitches. There are now 8 stitches garter stitch in each side. Work garter stitch and rib as before until the piece measures 27-30-31 cm / 10½"-11¾"-12¼". Now decrease 1 stitch on the outside of the purl section in each side – SEE DECREASE TIP! Repeat the decrease every 10th row a total of 6 times = 30-34-38 stitches. Work garter stitch and rib as before until the piece measures 48-52-54 cm / 19"-20½"-21¼", bind off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Cut the strand, sew the bind-off and cast-on edges together with small stitches. |
